For Jacques Bezuidenhout, finding his muse was not difficult at Square 1682. The bar itself is as much a work of art as it is a functional place for socializing. The staggered walnut plane was sourced from a Forest Stewardship Council certified forest and is suspended by giant satin bronze chain links. The bar and lounge area is occupied by oversized club chairs, settees, couches and tuffets mixed with coffee tables of various sizes. Which makes enjoying one of Jacques' signature cocktails - a Bell Pepper Smash or Tropical Whiskey Punch anyone? - crafted from fresh seasonal ingredients time well spent. It's no wonder his talents have been reported in the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal and Wine Enthusiast.

Exceptional Wines for Every Palate

Similarly, Master Sommelier Emily Wines (one of 15 women bearing the Master Sommelier title in America) relished her task of filling the stunning two-story glass wine cellar. Her efforts have culminated in a wine list that encompasses great values, hidden treasures and classic picks, along with organic selections. Wines are available by the bottle, the half bottle and by the glass.

Beer and Happy Hour in Center City

Finally, Anna Schneider weighed in with a stable of craft beers that will please even the most particular connoisseur. Her lineup includes pours from Dock Street, Dogfish Head, Stoudt's, Troegs, Victory and Yards and more.
